Intro
I had the opportunity to start with design while working on a social media marketing internship during my second year of university. During that time, I found myself experiencing the most joy in post/banner/story design tasks that others found mundane. Since then, I've been freelancing and even learned code along the way - the decision that changed my entire career trajectory.
If there's something I love more than cheesecakes, it is seeing my design come to life. Not just through prototyping. That's why in light of the pandemic, I learned everything I could in quarantine about coding a user interface on the web. That euphoric moment when I look at my favorite designs - now turned into fully functional sites - with only my own two hands, was my highlight of what could have been the worst year ever.
So in July 2020, I finished my last credits for university early and started working at Monotas - a Japanese IT startup. Despite joining as a front-end engineer, I’ve been lucky enough to have my colleagues and clients also entrusting me with design work. It's a dream come true - I was allowed to code everything I design. It was the most challenging, inspiring, and rewarding 3 years of my life so far. Being in various teams across projects both as a designer and engineer has made me a better thinker and a better human being.
I now specialize in bringing ideas to functional products - from start to end - that meet the needs of clients and achieve their business goals.
